Full Job Description

The post holder will provide project and managerial support within Integrated Medicine Directorate which covers Care of The Elderly, Stroke & General Medicine services.

  • The post holder will be expected to work flexibly and across the services as well as providing virtual support to other sites in line with the needs of service delivery where appropriate.
  • The post holder will engage in multi-disciplinary working liaising with the clinical team and all associated internal and external partners and stakeholders, including Local Authorities.
  • The post holder will be required to be highly proficient in the use of all relevant Microsoft Office software applications, and the relevant CTMUHB patient information and Healthcare IT systems., The key roles within the Operational Support Manager role will be as follows:
  • Responsible for the line management of the administrative support staff within the designated areas of responsibility
  • Be required to work with a high level of autonomy and independence using their own initiative
  • To work closely with partners to monitor and report activity, waiting times and data capture
  • Operationally support the Directorate in the delivery of medical workforce efficiencies and support the design, implementation and ongoing management of safe and efficient medical rotas
  • Provide project and managerial support which will involve providing management support in a number of areas, evaluating project outcomes and providing recommendations for consideration
  • Operationally support the effective delivery of key operational services and targets
  • Day to day operational constraints and challenges
