Full Job Description

The Operational Support Manager will form part of a multi-disciplinary team comprising of clinical and non clinical staff, e.g., Clinical Director, Doctors, Dental Nurses, Dispatchers, Call Handlers, Drivers, Receptionists, Operational Manager, etc. The post holder will assist the Operations Manager to co-ordinate the all services delivered from the Navigation Hub. The post holder will report directly to the Operational Manager and, at times, deputise for the Operational Manager. The post holder will also be responsible for line management of administrative staff and team leaders within the service.Main duties of the job The post holder will be required to work both in hours and out of hours on a rota basis. The post holder will be required to liaise with a range of services and professionals including Welsh Ambulance Service, A&E Departments/four Primary Care Centres, District Nursing etc. ensuring that patients progress smoothly through the services provided. The post holder will assist with the management of all daytime administrative functions undertaken at Ty Elai including but not limited to rostering, payroll and statistical performance. The post holder will be involved in a range of planning and delivery functions for all service delivered from the Navigation Hub. During the out of hours period the post holder will help with the operational management of the service which will include overseeing a team comprising of team leaders, call handlers, dispatchers, receptionists and drivers ensuring the service is sufficiently staffed at all times. The post holder will also provide an interface between the service and its sessional GP workforce.
