Are you looking for a new & exciting role? We are looking for an Operating Support Officer to join our Nutrition and Dietetics Team at East Sussex Healthcare Trust. Come and join our friendly, sociable and experienced dietetic team. Our team consists of Trainee ACP Dietitians, Dietitians, Dietetic Apprentices, Dietetic Assistants & Administrators based at Avenue House - Eastbourne, Conquest Hospital, Hastings, Bexhill Irvine Unit, Eastbourne District General Hospital. The successful candidate will:
- Ensure effective patient flow and timely assessment and treatment for all patients referred to service.
- Monitor and evaluate waiting times and RTT's and support workforce development.
- Support the delivery of identifiable change across speciality pathways, tracking improvements and identify opportunities tofurther improveprocess and pathways.
- Support data analysis for reports, capacity and demand, risks (health and safety, risk register entries), workforce data.
- Support the senior management team to deliver financially efficient services within budget., To identify trends in clinical patterns and implement plans to maintain patient flow so assessment is delivered in a timely manner.
- To ensure that all clinical staff are utilised efficiently and identify to lead if resources are not being used effectively.
- To continually review dietetics service performance - compiling and analysing data to be presented at internal and external meetings.
- To monitor and ensure compliance with all key performance indicators for the service as agreed with the commissioners, both on service delivery and governance.
- Support the day-to-day management of the nutrition and dietetics team, supporting staff welfare and giving line management including implementation of relevant HR policies.
- To maintain staff records including electronic rostering, leave and performance.
- To assist the Head of Dietetics and Service Manager for Dietetics with budget management of non-pay resources.
- To monitor and risk assess all sites, ensuring fit for purpose implementing action plans as required.
- To work closely with Head of Dietetics / Service Manager for Dietetics and Leads to establish and maintain systems to monitor compliance of mandatory training and supervision.
- To record and evaluate trends in complaints, incidents.
- Maintain an awareness of keep abreast of new technology that could enhance service improvement.
- Take a project lead role as required on service improvement projects, offering data analysis skills and administration support
You will be an excellent communicator, able to work independently and in a team, as well as being organised and confident. This is a cross site role - being visible at all locations is an expectation. Six months experience of working as part of a team managing projects within a similar service to ensure service innovation and improvement is preferable.
