Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our team within the Adults & Health short Breaks teams based in Seeleys Overnight Short Breaks and Seeleys Day Short Breaks. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across various sites, ensuring that all areas are kept clean, orderly, and infection-free. This is a one year secondment/fixed term contract opportunity working part time 21 hours per week. The working arrangements will be discussed with the hiring manager at interview stage.,

  • Maintain cleanliness to COSHH standards and regularly monitor infection control measures in line with CQC.
  • Perform cleaning duties thoroughly and efficiently without direct supervision.
  • Safely use and store hazardous cleaning products.
  • Interact with customers in a calm and helpful manner.
  • Perform specific cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, emptying bins, dusting, polishing surfaces, and cleaning toilets, bathrooms, and kitchens.
  • Fixed As a 'fixed' worker, you'll spend most of your time in the same location, which will likely be a fixed office or location where your role is performed. Typically, you'll be based in the same location as the rest of your team, because you provide a particular service from that fixed location or need access to information there., Buckinghamshire Council is committed to ensuring that our residents stay as independent as they can, for as long as possible. Your work will include carrying out needs assessments, creating person-centred and strengths-based care plans, ensuring delivery of services, and reviewing outcomes with the individual, their personal networks, and support providers. You will work in partnership with other professionals and organisations to support our residents effectively and holistically. Our Social Workers will endorse and act by the principles of personalisation, ensuring that care and support plans are person-centred, and as far as is safely possible, you will put the people with whom you work in control of their lives. You will also demonstrate emotional resilience and intelligence - which is the ability to maintain focus and to 'keep going' despite setbacks and stressful situations, a real desire to enable clients to achieve or maintain their goals of living independently and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.   • Prior experience in cleaning operations and best practices.
  • Knowledge of COSHH, cleaning standards, and infection control measures in line with CQC
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions clearly and accurately.
  • Good attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
