Full Job Description

The post holder will work closely with the School PGR Lead, PGR Coordinators and the academic leadership team of CDT Digital Twins for Healthcare to ensure the school is correctly reporting the composition of our PGR cohorts to the Centre for Doctoral Studies and other stakeholders and:
is aligned with the wider faculty and university education support functions
is professional, well-executed and timely
is compliant with university policies and
adopts best practice.

The post holder will work closely with the Head of Education, BEng/MEng and MSc Course Directors, and Module Organisers to develop and maintain UG and PGT timetables, facilitate assessment, and provide support with accreditation.

The post holder will also work with Faculty and School marketing and communication colleagues to ensure that education opportunities are promoted effectively and accurately via the prospectus, website, promotional material and social media.

This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract for 2 years in the first instance. You will be expected to work on site at least 3 days per week.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

  • Educated to degree level or relevant experience


  • An understanding of education provision in Higher Education institutions, the regulatory context and best practice Detailed understanding of education provision in Higher Education institutions, the regulatory context and best practice


  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills at all levels and experience of building an effective network across a complex organisation and with external stakeholders


  • Experience of using complex databases and management information systems


  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and observing systems and processes

  • Proven Professional Services skills gained within the Higher Education sector and a detailed knowledge of the regulatory, policy and procedural context along with the challenges and opportunities faced by the sector


  • Committee servicing

    The post holder is a member of the school's professional services team, providing advice and support for the Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate Taught (PGT), and Postgraduate Research (PGR) functions in the school. The post holder works closely with the Head of Education and Course Directors for the Biomedical Engineering BEng/MEng and Healthcare Technologies MSc to coordinate timetabling and assessment, and with the PGR Lead to support the PhD lifecycle.
