Full Job Description

  • As part of a small team you will be responsible for working with external partners, tax agents and the wider Janus Henderson business
  • Assist with the day to day management of Operational Tax activities associated with the European Janus Henderson open ended fund ranges, including funds in Luxembourg, Ireland and the UK, the Investment Trusts and the Cayman Hedge Funds.
  • You will assist with the completion of custody tax documentation, including liaison with the custody and fund accounting teams at the third party administrator, to ensure our accounts are documented and we are receiving the optimal rate of WHT.
  • You will provide tax support to the Operational tax team.
  • Assist with any transitional changes within the business.

  • Knowledge of the Financial service Industry
  • Oversee and review outsourced fund tax filings (eg. India, UK and Ireland), tax related accounting provisions and audit queries.
  • Oversee tax deliverables in-house, and at administrator and custodian level.
  • Oversee tax agents - assist with reviewing investor tax reporting output and tax specific requirements for jurisdictions where the funds invest or are distributed.
  • Assist and complete custody tax documentation where required for all JHI Funds
  • Assist with implementing tax services to meet legislative changes and to ensure compliance to relevant local tax requirements (at fund, investor and portfolio levels)
  • Reviewing global withholding and capital gains tax.
  • Review of Tax invoices and processing.

    Familiarity with Fokus claims
  • Knowledge of Corporation Tax, VAT and CGT
  • Investor Tax Reporting knowledge
  • An ability to work to tight deal deadlines
  • Ability to manage client expectations.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills
  • Pragmatism and the ability to solve problems creatively
