The Role:

As our Operations Manager, you will be directly responsible for the successful day-to-day running of our total distribution operation. From goods in all the way through to customer fulfilment via our in-house fleet of delivery vans and drivers.

Your primary goal will be the management of the depot's operations with an overall team of currently 13.

It is a fast-moving environment, and we are looking for someone who will come in and collaboratively work with the team to elevate our operations, working to customer service expectations and operational KPI's.

Improve how we operate and make us better with innovative thinking that involves pushing what we know at PPS and leading new ways of working, processes, and fulfilment.

You will also work collaboratively with our York depot operations management team and customer service team to ensure a streamlined approach to PPS's distribution service.

This role is based on site Monday to Friday in Keighley. You will report directly to the Managing Director.,

  • Leading the operations team by managing processes and people to deliver our objectives

  • Develop the skills of the operations team to better evolve the business

  • Setting and maintaining standards of workplace behaviours and conduct

  • Supervising and coordinating the activities of the operations team, including goods in, picking, loading and shipping

  • Monitoring stock levels, order fulfilment, and stock control to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products

  • Weekly data analysis to report key performance data to Management Team

  • Maintaining site risk assessments and training records

  • Improve process efficiencies and effectively communicate changes

  • Ensuring that health and safety regulations are followed

  • Promote a people & customer centric organisation and improve team engagement

  • Experience within distribution, in-house fleet experience preferable., Warehouse Management: 3 years (required)
