Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: Warton/Samlesbury

Salary: £63,900+ (depending on skills and experience)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Responsible for leading a large and diverse team to deliver cutting edge products to a worldwide customer base, with accountabilities including Safety, Cost, Quality, and Delivery of aircraft components across our Details or Assembly businesses
  • Provide emphasis on local strategy development and implementation, being a champion for change and enhancing a culture that supports the implementation of functional and business strategies
  • Analysing and challenging reports in your area of accountability, identifying and influencing opportunities to maximise affordability and improve business performance across the following financially controlled processes:
    • Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
    • Schedule Performance Indicators (SPI)
    • Cost Performance Indicators (CPI)
    • Contract Status Reviews (CSR)
  • Collaboration, communication and engagement to cohesively manage stakeholder relationships across the function and wider business

Your skills and experiences:

  • Previous Operational experience as a Senior Executive within a Manufacturing or similar environment with specific learning in a delivery phase of a programme – utilising systems, tools, and structure to influence objective outcomes around Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People
  • Experience of production methodology, operational excellence and relevant tool sets i.e. Policy Deployment and other Lean practices in order to demonstrate their use to deliver process improvement and reliability of business outputs
  • Demonstrate ability to manage conflict, negotiate trade-offs and deliver solutions that aim to build a collaborative approach
