Sodexo Live! have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join our first-class team at Goodison Park, the home of Everton Football Club. In this exciting, fast paced, and challenging role you will manage and be responsible for all catering services on site, delegating and communicating responsibilities effectively to your superstar team ensuring delivery is consistent and of high quality. You focus will be to assist in the delivery of a first-class event, hospitality and conferencing experience through attentive service. You will be experienced in managing high volume conferencing and events ideally within a stadium environment, but we would love to hear from people from similar sized venues. This outstanding opportunity will suit a creative individual who thrives on delivering a world class guest experience. You will ensure the timely and efficient planning and service delivery of all conferencing and events, match days, special events, meetings and events and banqueting functions. Match and event days will require flexible working hours, with shifts that may start early and finish late. You will have a positive can-do mind set and love working under pressure. Main Responsibilities What you'll do:

  • To manage and be responsible for all catering services at the required times to the company's standards, within the agreed specification and to the agreed performance, qualitative and financial targets
  • Oversee the retail operation on Match Days
  • Assist the hospitality team with match day planning.
  • Play an active role in non- match day events.
  • Ensure food safety, health and safety is at the top of everything we do and compliant at all times.
  • To be a point of contact for the client & customers organising events and co-ordinate space, set up, reinstate and hospitality.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all events are carried out in accordance with customer requirements and site and H&S compliance.

    Experience in managing conferencing and events.
  • Experience of delivering high quality hospitality operations
  • Operational knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Team Management
  • Manage multiple workloads and shifting priorities.
  • Deliver excellence in operational service standards and customer satisfaction!
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, and employees at all levels.
  • Achieve set, standards and operate to performance criteria, for example, health and safety, hygiene.
  • Hospitality management experience
  • Experience of working within a large operation with high volume meetings and events and match day operations
  • Experienced people manager who can lead teams to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • IT literate and confident with embracing technology
  • Excellent communication skills.

    You will be rewarded with a salary of £38,000pa + bonus and access to a range of benefits, including a performance-related bonus, employer pension contribution, and life assurance - 1 x annual salary.
