We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our Operational Support Unit within the Division of Surgery, helping us continue to deliver exceptional standards of care and service.
We're one of the best in the country for our performance against the four hour standard, 62 day cancer standard, stroke services, maternity services and our clinicians are regularly asked to speak nationally and internationally on our work. You'll have the chance to contribute to meaningful improvements that impact patient care and service delivery., As Operations Manager, you will:
+ Engage with clinical and non-clinical staff to build systems and processes that deliver high-quality services.
+ Collaborate with Heads of Service to ensure compliance with national and service targets.
+ Support the preparation of business plans and associated business cases.
+ Develop and manage core business processes to achieve key results.
+ Drive business planning and service needs, ensuring timely adjustments and provision of information.
+ Identify and implement new business opportunities and innovative ways of working.
+ Establish and deliver benchmarking processes, providing internal and external data comparisons to measure performance.
+ Train staff in performance improvement tools and techniques to enhance efficiency.
+ Contribute to service development and transformation within the specialty area.
+ Deliver business intelligence to inform operational and strategic decisions.
+ Monitor and analyse data to highlight trends, inconsistencies, and performance issues, taking necessary actions.
+ Ensure timely and accurate data provision for internal and external reporting requirements.
+ Oversee cost improvement schemes and delivery of quality and performance standards, including RTT/QIPP targets.
