operations manager

Ambrose Avenue Group Practice based in Colchester are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated operations manager to join our growing team on a full-time basis. This role has been established to support the practice as a whole, by carrying out activities that will result in the smooth running of the day-to-day operations. The successful individual will demonstrate excellent leadership and people skills, with a passion for delivering high standards in patient care. The role primarily involves;

• Line managing the administration team.
• Managing their leave and other requests.
• Responsible for the clinical team S1 rotas.
• Assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks.
  
  Experienced supervisor/manager and able to work on your own initiative.
• Previous healthcare experience, ideally within a GP practice.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Accurate record keeping.
• The ability to work under pressure and the ability to meet the challenges of working to deadlines.
• Strong IT skills and extensive knowledge of using SystmOne, ideally experience of searches, rota management and applications.
  
  Ambrose Avenue Group Practice is a long-established, award-winning, forward-thinking GP practice. We are based over two surgery sites within 10 minutes of each other, serving the population of Stanway and Prettygate in Colchester, Essex. We are a training practice and offer services to a population of over 15,000 patients.
  
  We hold monthly meetings and training sessions and have a diverse team of clinicians, including first contact physio, pharmacists, ANP/NP, care coordinator, social prescriber, health coach, GP assistant and an award-winning team of mental health workers.
