Full Job Description

At Maidstone Borough Council, Parking Services are responsible for the management of off-street car parks, on-street parking controls and the enforcement of parking legalisation within Maidstone and Swale. As an Operations Officer, you will be at the heart of this, providing administrative and operational support to the diverse environment of the parking service dealing with a variety of duties., The Council is looking for a full time, permanent Operations Officer to join our team working in partnership between Maidstone and Swale, but primarily based in Maidstone House. It is essential that you have a valid full clean driving licence and a flexible approach to your duties as priorities may vary from day to day. In addition, you will need to demonstrate good customer care skills as the role requires you to deal with customer enquiries whilst maintaining professionalism and diplomacy in sometimes difficult circumstances.

You will have a good level of education with particular emphasis on English and Maths, and proven experience in Word/Excel software.

You will have excellent communication and customer service skills, and a full clean driving licence.

Ideally you will also have experience of working in the parking industry or experience of working within an operational environment., Disability Confident
