Full Job Description

Working as part of the Planning Team, the Operations Planner is responsible for the daily administration of the planning and coordination processes. This includes working closely with Clients, Estimating, Production and Field Operations teams to ensure that systems, logs and trackers are up to date to ensure timely job progress and ultimately client satisfaction.

  • Receive project information from Sales & Estimating team via structured handover and ensure all information is ready for review. Liaise with Client to request outstanding information where required.

  • Preparation of Quality Plans, Health, Safety & Environmental including RAMS and any CDM requirements ensuring timely completion and issue to both the Client and Field Operations team ahead of job commencement.

  • Liaise with client on realistic /preferred / required project start dates in line with any site measurements and/or info gathering that is required.

  • Work with commercial team and suppliers to ensure all materials are ordered in a timely manner and be delivered on time to avoid delay on site.

  • Set up of BORIS ready for use onsite, including uploading of plans, work allocation to the Field Teams and making sure records are uploaded by the site operatives daily.

  • Plan for site visits for measurements, inspections, and minor reactive works as well as larger projects in collaboration with the field teams.

  • Ensure all necessary information is received and formatted ready for submission to client and invoicing from QS at the end of every project/phase/floor etc.

  • Take charge of daily BORIS operations which includes assigning site operatives to locations, providing technical supports for paperwork completions, ensuring compliance with submission timelines and feedback to field management where required.

  • Being the main point of contact for field-based operatives for issue resolutions for document completion, work allocations etc.

  • Produce interim / weekly / monthly reports where required by client.

  • Attend internal meetings when required and prepare and present management information.

  • Be open to learning and development on fire door regulations and compliance.

  • Work with the Senior Planner to gain a solid understanding of our internal processes for submitting door schedules into the production team.
