About the role:

The Operations, Health & Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the safety, health and regulatory compliance is maintained at the venue.

The role involves the development, implementation and management of safety protocols and adherence to industry regulations, alongside a safe environment for employees, participants, and spectators.

Responsibilities

Responsible for implementing emergency procedures in line with the Group Health and Safety policy, industry regulations for all eventualities including race days, events and venue hire.
Create and maintain plans and procedures to ensure traffic arrives and leaves the course safely and efficiently. This includes management of the course entrances and turnstiles.
Full understanding and control over facility management of the estate utilising Expansive System to ensure a safe site for employees and visitors at all times. Monitor and enforce compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
Working alongside the Commercial Team including the Racing Teams to oversee preparation of the site and buildings for all events ensuring an operational plan is in place for all events and that buildings are clean, tidy, well maintained and remain safe at all times for staff, visitors and contractors.
Engage with security staff (SIA qualified) and stewards (Level 2 & 3 Spectator Safety qualified) should they be required for the event, ensuring that all members are fully qualified and trained with the correct licenses.
You will ensure the site is secure at all times, entry to site must be managed at all times to not put the site at any risk.
Implement, manage and maintain safety policies and procedures.

The person we are looking for as an Operations & Safety Manager has…..

IOSH
Achieved or working towards NEBOSH
Achieved or working towards Spectator Safety at level 4 - desirable but not essential as training can be provided
3 + years working in a similar role to what is described above
Proven track record of managing, motivating and leading a team
