Full Job Description

Transport Delivery is responsible for arranging and managing contracts that transport children, young people and vulnerable adults to and from their school, college and daycare establishments., The Operations Supervisor is one of a team who manage contracts which transport entitled passengers to schools, colleges and social care establishments. The role is responsible for appointing, managing and maintaining transport contracts, negotiating changes to these, and ensuring they are run in accordance with terms and conditions to ensure compliance and performance of the operators. Each officer has an area of responsibility and over 150 contracts to manage, including responding to any issues that are reported regarding these.

The ideal candidate should be organised and motivated with the ability to work under a high degree of pressure and deal with conflicting demands. With good IT and strong communication skills you should be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience of working in an administrative environment and in a transport-related role is essential. The candidate must be able to demonstrate how they have managed contracts in their previous roles, and how they would do so as an Operations Supervisor.
