Full Job Description

  • Managing the day to day operations of the evaporation plant from raw material to final product
  • Using SCADA to manage and adjust plant parameters to optimise production
  • Regularly monitor and document plant parameters to ensure production intermediates and final products remain within the required specification
  • Manage production rates and volumes to ensure all tank capacities and product volumes are managed
  • Collect production samples from specified stages of the production process and complete the necessary laboratory tests to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Document in detail all process activities, actions and testing results
  • Manage operational assets so they are always available and operating at their optimum. Including flushing pipework, cleaning equipment and firefighting inline blockages
  • Firefighting plant issues as and when they arise to minimise production loss
  • Maintain effective communication with the client's production team and ensuring they are regularly updated with plant availability
  • Managing chemical stocks and advising when these need to be replenished
  • Working to plant SOP's at all times

    Experience of working in the chemical industry or experience of working in a production environment
  • Some engineering experience desirable but not required
  • A good understanding of health and safety
  • FLT licence desirable but not required
  • SCADA knowledge desirable but not required
  • IT proficiency - experience of working with either Microsoft Office or Google Drive
