Ophthalmic Technician

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our supportive, dynamic, forward thinking team in Ophthalmology Outpatients.

The successful candidate will need to develop a range of skills to enable them to cover all aspects of the care we provide to our patients, this includes:

1.0 Full time equivalent Ophthalmic Technician on 12 months fixed contract.

This is just some examples of the variety of work required to help support our clinicians.

• Vision testing


• Supporting in an aseptic environment


• Using a variety of imagining equipment


We are able to offer a comprehensive induction to ensure you are competent in undertaking the day to day tasks.

The hours available are 37.5 hours per week 4 long days, the only stipulation is you will be required to work until 18:00 and 17:45 each day. You are expected to work at University Hospitals Dorset (Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and diagnostic hubs at Poole area ), To understand the role in more details please read the full job description and person specification documents which are attached to this advert.
