Full Job Description

As the Optical Support team lead, you will be managing a team of 4 Optical Support Specialist who will be responsible for managing their accounts and providing support to our internal stakeholders. You will also have your own Optical Accounts and you will be acting as the main contact between planning, logistics and the customer, and will be responsible for managing the open portfolio.

You will ensure that your team meets their objectives, champion our new Values within the team, and support and develop your team members.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES

  • Manage a team, identify development opportunities, and co-ordinate workload

  • Take ownership of tasks and projects to ensure timely completion

  • Provide support to your designated accounts for any queries and order support

  • Provide internal stakeholders with comprehensive reports, strategic activity planning, and essential information

  • Support your team in resolving and reporting technical and access issues

  • Support with recruitment

  • Manage performance, annual leave, and sickness

  • Work closely with Account and Key Account managers to maximise stakeholder value

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and simplification of tasks

  • Manage orders from order entry to delivery to the client's designated place

  • Liaise with other internal and external teams to ensure orders and shipments can be delivered on time and to client specifications

  • Ensure customer data is kept updated and teams are notified of changes to details/processes

  • Attend events or meetings with clients to support the business in the office or abroad

  • Work as part of the Operations team to support your team members and colleagues

  • Report and action any account/order discrepancies, e.g. discounts, credits, missing products
