Full Job Description

The Order Management Specialist is a critical component of the Commercial Operations team at Emarsys. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Operations, responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Managing the current Quote to Cash tool, handling complex pricing structures & strategies, adding new products to existing pricing catalogues and providing insightful advice and training to sales reps. This role will work across multiple departments to achieve increased efficiencies across the entire deal cycle.The successful candidate will utilize strong analysis, problem solving, and multitasking skills to identify new process improvement approaches and rollout significant changes.,

  • To play a pivotal role in the scoping, implementation, rollout and ongoing maintenance of the Apptus Quote to Cash tool
  • Work alongside Operations & Enablement team, Information Systems, Finance and Legal to proactively drive improvements in processes, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide training and guidance to sales teams and other internal departments, ensuring that Systems, Legal, Sales and Sales operations are fully aligned
  • Ensure client proposals and contracts clearly incorporate terms and conditions necessary for optimal commercial and financial engagement. This will involve liaising with local management, Legal and the Documentation Team to maintain accurate and up to date templates across multiple languages, currencies and local requirements
  • Assist with the review of pricing and costing to ensure that proposals are accurate and acceptable
  • Proactively monitor and strive to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy and consistency in order management
  • Align with Product go to market team to ensure new products and updates are incorporated into system with pricing, discounts, documentation and additional requirements.

    A passion for technology with Software as a Service experience preferred
  • 5+ years of work experience in order management, deal desk, or similar role with significant exposure to sales teams, OR experience in management consulting with prior project work in sales and operations
  • Must have experience with a Quote to Cash solutions, preferably a leading cloud based standard solution such as Apttus or Steelbrick
  • Understanding of organizational order management processes and commercial terms, in order to read and understand various sales and purchase agreements
  • Experience juggling multiple simultaneous high impact initiatives. The candidate must thrive in a high-growth, rapidly changing sales environment.
  • Advanced strategic thinking & analytic problem solving skills with the ability to break down complex problems in a simplified way and develop creative/innovative solutions.
  • Exceptionally strong communicator with the ability to craft a full range of clear, high-impact communications to audiences of all levels & backgrounds.
  • A fast-thinking, high-energy individual with a sense of humor and ability to work with a wide range of personalities will thrive in this role

  • BA/BS required; MBA a strong plus
