Full Job Description

Organisational Development & Diversity (OD&D) Assistant - Fixed Term Position for up to 9 Months, We are looking to recruit an Organisational Development & Diversity Assistant to work in the HR Team here at the University. The role will assist the Organisational Development & Diversity Team in providing a comprehensive service, contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a range of OD&D and EDI strategies.

The role will carry out a wide range of administrative activities in order to support the OD&D function to:

Develop a programme of organisational development in accordance with the delivery of our university's strategy, vision, values and desired culture.
Develop and facilitate the delivery of the University's action plan for equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring our university achieves its equality objectives.
The role will handle Organisational Development & Delivery enquiries and manage all related administrative tasks. This includes delivering a responsive, professional and precise administrative service throughout the entire employee lifecycle, ensuring seamless support for all OD&D processes.

With a passion for people, Organisational Development and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, the role will support a number of elements that sit within the OD&D function including learning and development, mentoring, engagement and the achievement of the University's Strategic Equality Plan.

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

Business Administration Level 3 - Desirable
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent level of education
The Human Resource Directorate supports the strategic objectives of the University by providing strategic guidance on a range of areas to managers and staff. It provides a comprehensive HR service including guidance, advice and support on policies, recruitment, remuneration & reward, performance & development, equality & diversity, employee relations and engagement and organisational development & training.

We operate a business partner model, through a small team of HR professionals, delivering a range of customer focused solutions.

Reporting to the Head of Organisational Development & Diversity you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative service that supports a variety of corporate responsibilities and projects.

To succeed in this role, you will need to evidence:

A systematic, thorough, and well-organised approach to work, with evidence of the ability to work to deadlines with minimal supervision, whilst maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous tasks whilst still ensuring deadlines are met and tasks completed.
Demonstrable ability to use own initiative and work on own initiative, knowing when to seek further advice.
The successful candidate should possess excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with all staff groups both verbally and in writing.
