Full Job Description

A key role within the Organisational Development Team the OD Facilitator will be:
+ coordinating the full range of OD activities for the team
+ a source of specialist advice and guidance about organisational development support for individuals, teams and the organisation.
+ working in collaboration, and with the support of the OD Team to design, develop and implement a range of OD interventions.
+ contributing to the development and Trust wide implementation of organisational development practice.
Support the delivery of a range of key development programmes such as the UHCW Leader Programme and Step into Management as well as contributing to the development of future programmes., + Be the first point of contact for the OD Team providing specialist advice and guidance about the services offered by the OD Team to support individuals, teams and the organisation
+ Use initiative to respond to queries relating to OD services, responding in a manner reflective of Trust and OD values and principles
+ Manage and respond to incoming requests for OD support. Deciding on appropriate course of action and referring for advice and guidance for complex requests to senior team members e.g. coaching, mentoring, team interventions, leadership development etc.
+ Contribute to the co-ordination of team activities to manage demand and capacity
+ Support, contribute and lead OD interventions/projects as agreed by the senior leadership team in the People Directorate
+ Work proactively and collaboratively the team and colleagues within the Trust to successfully design, develop and implement a range of OD interventions for individuals, teams and the organisation.,

  • Lead or collaborate in the facilitation of OD activities including:

  • o Learning and development activities e.g. leadership and management development, coaching, mentoring
    o Team interventions
    o Workshops
    o Meetings
    o Staff events
    o Focus groups
    o Interviews
  • Lead and contribute to project management activities of the team e.g. developing project plans; drafting progress reports; suggesting key performance measures, raising issues and risks etc.

  • Lead planning, administration and logistics for OD e.g. taking responsibility for organising events and conferences; for liaising with internal and external parties, booking resources and managing and delegating support from the wider team

  • Curate, develop and maintain up-to-date information and OD resources for staff use

  • Develop content and communications that support the work of the team e.g. presentations, reports, emails; newsletters, marketing material etc.

  • Support the integration of equality, diversity and inclusion practices in OD

  • Develop effective working relationships with colleagues, peers across the Trust, internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a professional manner that reflects the values and principles of the Trust and OD

  • Use own initiative to make changes that improves the work of the team and supports establishing successful OD practices.
