Full Job Description

Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with interest in Trauma and Foot and Ankle Surgery. This post is for 8 Pas and the successful candidate will be expected to provide Orthopaedic Trauma Services and participate on the on-call rota at the Whittington Hospital.

The successful candidate will form part of the T&O team delivering elective orthopaedic services to a local, and tertiary referral base, as well as trauma services covering the local population.The candidate will have a keen interest in Trauma as well as Foot and Ankle surgery, demonstrated by:

  • Fellowship training in lower limb surgery including experience managing complex trauma
  • An interest in participating in the multidisciplinary care of patients
  • A focus on developing and contributing to education and research programme
  • All candidates must be eligible for full GMC registration and must be on the Specialist Register or within six months of receiving CCST/CCT (or equivalent) in Orthopaedics Surgery at the time of interview.
