Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Orthotics Administrator in the Orthotics Department at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. The post holder will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to a busy team of Orthotists. The post-holder will provide a courteous and professional reception service, and help ensure that all service users have a positive experience of the services we provide. We are looking for an independent, enthusiastic and well organised person to join our busy team. You must have strong interpersonal and IT skills. The successful candidate will be based within a small team, providing support for each other and ensuring continuation of service at all times. Multi-tasking and prioritisation is a key feature of the post.

We are looking for an independent, enthusiastic and well organised person to join our busy team. The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal and organising skills, attention to detail, IT skills and ability to communicate across all levels. The successful candidate will be providing support to the clinical teams and ensuring continuation of service at all times. Duties will include: dealing with frequent telephone enquiries and face-to-face queries, processing referrals and other documents, recording and validating activity on PAS systems, and liaising with internal stakeholders. Good knowledge of National and Trust pathway targets and knowledge of medical terminology are an advantage.
