We are looking for newly qualified and experienced occupational therapists to join our existing teams based in adult social care but covering both adults and children. We want you to share your expertise and knowledge and make a difference for the people of Walsall. In return, we will offer you support, recognition and a commitment to help you learn and grow.

  • Newly Qualified Occupational Therapist


  • As a newly qualified OT you will access our Assessed and Supported Year in Practice programme which will support you as you transition from student to competent and confident practitioner. On successful completion of the ASYP you will progress to a G9 post. Further details of the ASYP programme can be found at the link below.
  • New to Social Care or Returning to Practice, If you are an experienced OT but new to Social Care, or if you are returning to practice after a break we are offering a 6 month enhanced induction programme to support you through your initial 6 months in this exciting new setting.   • If you are an experienced practitioner in Social Care and looking for a new challenge, you will find a warm welcome awaiting you in Walsall.

    Qualified OTs with experience of working with children with disabilities, This post is covered by the Government's Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers. The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
