Full Job Description
The role will involve working in close partnership with the club manager and the rest of the team to : Provide 1 : 1 support to a child with autism and sensory needs Plan for and deliver a range of play activities Support and supervise the children in the club, including those with SEND, both indoors and outdoors Support the rest of the club team with ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to Maintain good relationships with parents and carers The successful applicant will
Have experience of working with children with autism and sensory needs / SEN Hold a Level 2 NVQ in Playwork or Childcare or other L2 or above qualification relevant to the job role (for the qualified pay scale). For the unqualified role, no qualification is necessary. Have a sound understanding of Safeguarding children Have experience of working with and planning recreational activities for children aged 3 to 11 years and the ability to work on own initiative Be an effective communicator and an enthusiastic team player Be reliable and keep to good timekeeping Understand the importance of their role within the wider school team and remain professional at all times Hold a current Paediatric First Aid Certificate, (or be willing to undertake the training) Hold a Food Hygiene Certificate (or be willing to undertake the training)
