The Outage Manager will take charge of overseeing and coordinating every element of scheduled outages and start-ups at Burton Latimer, ensuring seamless alignment among all key stakeholders. This role is pivotal in guaranteeing that all necessary and agreed-upon activities are executed with minimal downtime. The Outage Manager will focus on optimising outage durations, striving to enhance efficiency across the business during these critical periods.

  • Provide leadership for Weetabix's outage management processes
  • Ensure team possesses and develops necessary skills
  • Establish planned downtime KPIs and meet monthly targets
  • Develop processes to enhance outage management efficiency
  • Support capital/revenue projects during outages
  • Identify service delivery improvement opportunities through innovation
  • Promote collaboration among outage stakeholders
  • Coach and mentor the engineering team
  • Implement and utilize lean tools and methodologies
  • Optimize operations during outage windows
  • Maintain key department KPIs (P&P, Safety, Quality, Engineering)

    Non-negotiables
  • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development
  • Experience managing complex projects
  • Experience of maintenance engineering best practices TPM, RCM
  • Relevant experience in the food, process or manufacturing industry
  • Alignment to Weetabix values
  • Are always curious to finding new ways to do business!
  • Have the ability to demonstrate how you keep up to date in your field of expertise
  • Nice to haves:
  • Engineering Degree, HND or equivalent experience demonstrated in manufacturing
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent Safety Qualification
  • Experience of maintenance engineering best practices - TPM, RCM
