Full Job Description

As our Outcomes Coordinator you'll play an essential, and important, role in supporting research, alongside further ongoing innovative projects and workstreams. This position will afford the candidate to work closely, with their direct teams, families, external stakeholders, and researchers. The role is integral to the work undertaken within a suite of services including the MST-CAN, Futures and Rethink teams:

  • Multi Systemic Therapy Child Abuse and Neglect (MST-CAN) - is aimed at helping families with severe and complex difficulties whose children are in receipt of child protection services, or are at risk of being taken into care due to neglect and/ or physical abuse
  • Rethink - a practice development team who support development and implementation of the Leeds Practice Model across services for children and families through both universal and project-specific activities.
  • Futures (including Hold My Hand) - a specialist service aimed at supporting the needs of parents who have experienced the removal of a baby though legal proceedings, prioritising young people under the age of 25 and those who have experience of being in care. The Hold My Hand project extends this work to pre-birth., Job purpose Support data collection and analysis within MST-CAN, Futures and Rethink to operationalise, and enable the delivery of effective outcome focussed child and family plans.
  • Responsibilities
  • Work alongside teams to assist in the effective and efficient delivery of the defined models, ensuring good quality customer care standards are provided.
  • Arrange co-ordinate, and facilitate meetings, for example steering groups, formulation forums, and workshops, including scheduling, agenda planning and preparation as directed by the teams.
  • Help promote and embed a culture of performance management, quality assurance and continuous improvement across the service.
  • Assist with the capture, recording, classification, monitoring and reporting of outcome data always being aware of safeguarding and emerging risk issues throughout.
  • Provide statistical information, which enables production and presentation of briefings and reports, including for board members as required.
  • Deal effectively with internal and external enquiries.
  • Undertake general clerical and/or word processing duties, including photocopying and distribution of materials to aid effective measurement of outcomes within the teams.
  • Establish and maintain effective budgetary records, expenditure details and information relating to purchases and orders relevant to the teams.
  • Provide and participate in training and development activities.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality adhering to all child protection and safeguarding policies.
  • Maintain effective relationships with staff at all levels within Childrens Services, other Council Directorates, Elected Members, external agencies and the general public.

    An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a highly skilled, flexible, and innovative person to work alongside the MST-CAN, Futures and Rethink teams in role of Outcomes Coordinator to support collection, organisation and analysis of data from a wide variety of sources., As an Outcomes Coordinator, you will bring to the role:
  • The post holder will support these services to operationalise and provide effective outcome focussed activity with children and families and with other professionals.
  • You will be able to establish systems to support the service to be able to monitor performance and outcomes, and you will be able to analyse, interpret and present findings.
  • You will be able to apply organisation, numerical, literacy and analytical skills using a range of IT software including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint; working effectively on your own initiative.
  • You will be motivated to support change that improves service quality and support a culture that drives up standards and performance. You will also be able to work cooperatively as a team to provide a flexible and responsive service and undertake general clerical duties as required., Qualifications demonstrating ability in numeracy and literacy or equivalent knowledge are essential.

  • Literature search skills and an understanding and proficient use of quantitative and qualitative methodologies to enable the accurate analysis of any research data.
  • Able to analyse, interpret and present research data as part of programme/project support.
  • Able to cooperate and work as a team to provide a flexible and responsive service.
  • Able to utilise appropriate support and resources and recognise the need to do this.
  • Highly developed word processing skills.
  • Able to support change programmes that improve service quality/delivery and support a culture that drives up standards and performance
  • Excellent organisational, numerical, literacy and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of research methods and statistics
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding & Child Protection policy and procedure.
  • Understanding of public sector and local government issues.
  • Experience of using a range of IT software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, statistical/data analysis software
  • Experience of preparing and presenting information concisely and clearly.
  • Experience of drafting and proof reading correspondence using a high standard of written English.
  • Experience of exercising judgement in dealing with visitors and telephone enquiries.
  • Experience of qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Experience setting up and managing central filing/ tracking, financial and other administrative systems.
  • Experience working effectively on own initiative and with minimum supervision.
  • Experience solving problems in a constructive manner.
  • Experience setting and working within quality standards.
  • Experience prioritising and organising work whilst maintaining flexibility to deal with conflicting demands, an unpredictable workload and strict deadlines.
  • Experience dealing sensitively with confidential information, ensuring information is current, accurate, accessible and secure.
  • Experience positively supporting a wide range of meetings and workshops including minute taking.
  • Demonstrate experience and ability to use a sensitive, empathic approach towards research subjects and manage any anxiety and /or distress.
