Full Job Description

  • We are looking for candidates who can deliver an effective and efficient outpatient reception service to both the clinical team and our patients.
  • You will need to have experience with IT systems and have good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team is essential for the efficient delivery of administration services.
  • Our staff oversee over 2 million patients 'contacts' each year, delivering high standards of healthcare from the following sites:
  • Freeman Hospital
  • Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI)
  • Health Innovation Neighbourhood (on the former Newcastle General Hospital and Centre for Ageing and Vitality site)
  • Newcastle Dental Hospital
  • Newcastle Fertility Centre
  • Northern Centre for Cancer Care, North Cumbria
  • Northern Genetics Service
  • Cramlington Manor Walks

We are a regional centre of excellence treating all types of common eye conditions in adults and children, both elective and emergency, as well as providing a range of highly specialised and cutting-edge services. The Newcastle Eye Centre also includes an Eye Emergency Department which sees around 20,000 patients per year.
