Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for for an Outpatient Clinic Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team within Ophthalmology at Yeovil District Hospital for 30 hours a week (0900 to 1600 Monday to Friday),

The post holder will be required to cover reception duties in an outpatient setting providing support to the clinical teams who see patients in that area. Tasks will include booking of outpatient appointments, updating/inputting information onto databases, answering patient queries, preparing paperwork for clinic as well as other tasks required within the role. Training and support will be provided., We are looking for a clinic administrator to join our friendly team. You will communicate with patients, colleagues, internal and external contacts in a courteous professional and timely manner at all times by various methods, ie telephone, written, face to face, email.

Dealing with queries from consultants and other Trust staff and to have the initiative to know when help from a more senior staff member is required.

Have an exceptional telephone manner.

Booking/cancellation of outpatient appointments.

Preparation of any necessary documentation.
