Full Job Description

As a Child Development Keyworker you will work as part of the team within the Big Life Manchester Children's Centre to provide Outreach support to families. You will provide first class service to the community, ensuring that all families have a positive experience through activities to encourage parental engagement and school readiness. You will receive on the job training and skill development.

  • You will be passionate about supporting the development of babies and children under the age of 5.
  • You will have previous experience of working within a community/voluntary based organisation (paid/unpaid).
  • You will have experience of working with individuals and groups of people in different settings, helping them to achieve their
  • goals.
  • You will have the ability to communicate effectively with children, young people and their families.
  • You will have the ability to prioritise and plan your workload effectively.
  • You will have an understanding of safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults .
  • You will be computer literate and have experience of using various software packages and databases.
  • You will have, desired, a minimum of level 3 or equivalent qualification in working with children, families, young people in
  • early years, health or social care.
  • You need an enhanced level DBS check for this role.

  • An annual salary of £27,711 (NJC point 12)
  • A permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week contract.
  • Based at Ardwick Children Centre, Manchester.
  • 25 days holiday, and 30 once you've been here five years
