To assist and support the existing Recovery College staff to plan and organise the delivery of courses in all existing and future Recovery College sites. The role will involve engaging with communities throughout Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) localities, GPs, statutory / non-statutory providers, partners and agencies to identify, develop and provide courses to meet the mental and physical health needs of that community. To develop and support Recovery College LPT volunteers to work in Recovery College hub and satellite course venues. To support students to navigate and utilise recovery services within their own community. You will have opportunities to progress your career with a structured learning journey that will enable you to achieve your long-term goals and work to your strengths., The successful candidate will work alongside Recovery College staff, local partners and stakeholders to develop and establish satellite recovery colleges in LLR districts and build recovery networks around them. Through effective positive engagement with all community stakeholders, the post holder will be able to understand, identify and communicate to Recovery College managers what courses would support that community with specific reference to addressing ethnicity, socio economic data and demand on current primary and secondary health services. You will act as a recovery champion for the service and establish a position of an ambassador of recovery accessible within the community, sign posting students to access services within the network of recovery services, promoting and ensure there is an environment conducive to effective learning. The post holder will be expected to work in locations in different communities throughout LLR and will be required to manage and respond to; Students who present with a range of mental health diagnosis Present with a range of complex personal presentation or information that requires the post holder to respond with an ability to apply experienced judgement skills to assist with the formulation of solutions and recommendations to inform the student of the best course of action., working patterns in line with our flexible working policy. For all substantive roles, new staff (excluding medical staff) are appointed subject to a 6-month probationary period (see Probation Policy). All jobs will require permission to work in the UK.
