Are you ready to dive into an exciting role where you can make a real difference? As a P&C Risk Business Partner, you'll be a key player in our dynamic P&C business partnering team, working under the awesome leadership of our Head of P&C Risk and ERM Transformation. In this role, you'll:
- Build strong, effective relationships with our business teams

- Tackle all aspects of risk in the P&C business areas
- Use your stakeholder management skills to collaborate with leadership and develop top-notch risk tools
- Promote a culture of risk awareness to help us identify and mitigate risks better

What will you be doing?
- Be the go-to adviser: Build and maintain strong relationships between the risk function and the P&C (Property & Casualty) business. Make sure you're seen as a trusted advisor to the P&C team(s).
- Keep an eye on changes: Provide oversight on key change initiatives within the P&C business, ensuring risks are managed effectively.
- Know the business: Get a deep understanding of the P&C business plan and pinpoint any risks that could disrupt it. Make sure there are effective actions in place to mitigate these risks.
- Join the dots: Be aware of the broader risk landscape, including market and regulatory risks. Ensure there's ongoing monitoring against risk tolerance and have plans ready to tackle any emerging issues.
- Implement the framework: Oversee the rollout of the group risk management framework within the P&C business, ensuring it's well understood and applied.
- Policy and framework guru: Make sure the Zurich Risk Policy and Group Risk Management Framework are fully understood and implemented in the P&C Business.
- Keep decision-makers in the loop: Provide reliable and timely risk information to relevant decision-making and governance bodies.
- Team player: Be an active and collaborative member of the UK Risk team. Work closely with other teams across Risk.
- Support the UK Own Insurance programme: Collaborate with colleagues in the Group and business stakeholders across the UK to support the delivery of the UK's Own Insurance programme.
- Champion best practices: Promote and share best risk management practices across the business to boost risk awareness and culture.
- Continuous improvement: Spot opportunities for process improvements within the Risk function and work towards implementing them.
Experience of working within a P&C business in Underwriting, or closely associated discipline preferably with experience of the London Market / Commercial Insurance - Excellent communication: able to explain complex risk concepts in a simple, clear way.
- Analytical mindset: Have strong analytical skills to assess risks and think of creative solutions.
- Influencing skills: Be good at persuading others and getting buy-in for risk management practices.
- Problem-solving: Be quick to think on your feet and come up with solutions to unexpected challenges.
- Attention to detail: Be thorough in monitoring, assessing risks and preparing board papers/risk opinions.
- Stakeholder management: Build and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Be flexible and able to adapt to changing situations and new information.
