Full Job Description

Moorside Community Primary School is looking for an exceptional PA to report directly to the Head Teacher providing a high standard of administrative support. As an integral part of the administrative team, you will be working closely with School Business Manager.

The role will suit someone with excellent communication skills and a proven track record of providing high level PA support. The successful candidate will be able to draw on best practice from educational and non-educational settings to ensure effective support for the Head Teacher, the Governors and other member of the Senior Leadership Team. We are looking for someone who can bring rigour, an eye for detail and experience to our ambitious school. We have a high-quality curriculum and a values-driven leadership team and are looking for someone who wants to use their professional skills in the context of improving the life chances of the young people and community we serve. We are looking for an excellent team player who has:

  • Previous PA experience with the ability to contribute to and inform practice in our collaborative, pooled support function
  • Is resourceful, innovative and proactive, adjusting seamlessly to what can be a fluid environment
  • Is committed to supporting our school ethos, values and vision
  • Confident making decisions and working on your initiative, and self-motivated to ensure school can operate at the highest standards
  • Is a great communicator and enjoys connecting with people
  • Strong skills in planning, organisation and time management and experience of diary and inbox management
  • IT proficiency, particularly with Excel to store, organise, and analyse data at an intermediate / advanced level
  • The ability to create reports, agendas, meeting slides and minutes with Microsoft 365
  • An excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail, and ability to work to very tight timeframes and deadlines
