Full Job Description

PG HGV Driver position is to provide timely delivery of products to Air Products customers in a safe and compliant manner, within agreed processes and procedures. Embracing Air Products core safety values, being the safest gas company in the world. The role provides, a front-line business-critical activity, being part of the Air Products team supporting our continuing customer relationship, which improves retention on a long-term basis.,

  • Adherence to all safety rules, processes, and procedures, as safety is a condition of employment.
  • Pre & Post vehicle check in-line with DVSA guidelines, and Air Products standards, which may change from time-to-time.
  • Loading, unloading and all other activities associated with product management in-line with 'Dist Man PG Specific - working instructions' available via 'RTL Knowledgebase app'
  • Successful completion of all LearnEx and regulatory training as required.
  • Maintain tachograph infringement level in-line with DVSA/Traffic commissioner expectations, and Air Products standards, whereby regular feedback, monitoring and coaching will be provided to ensure full compliance.
  • Other expected requirements in-line with PG Collective Agreement 2013, available on request via NNC or RTL Knowledgebase app or Air Products management/HR.

    LGV 1 license (HGV Class 1/C+E unrestricted)
  • Proven experience (Where required) and min three years consecutive driving experience operating the class of vehicle that will be operated at Air Products upon employment
  • Valid (in date) ADR Training Certificate 2,3,8 minimum (refreshed every 5 years)
  • Valid (in date) Driver's CPC Qualification Card (DQC) and evidence of current Periodic Training Status
  • FLT qualification (desirable, not essential)
  • Proven track record of working within a safety-first environment
  • Able to work under own initiative with excellent communication skills
  • Proven track record of ability to drive in a professional manner, and to achieve best in class performance relating to safety and efficiency monitored and supported by digital vehicle data
