  • Deal effectively with general PACS/RIS enquiries
  • To support the PACS/RIS manager
  • To undertake tasks consistent with the day-to-day organization of the PACS systems and data.
  • Please see full job description for complete list of responsibilities., To promote and maintain high standards of data held on the RIS and PACS systems and effect change to working practices within Radiology.
  • To interrogate the RIS and PACS systems to provide statistical information for use in: departmental audits, financial returns, Trust activity information and HSCIC returns. To act as the escalation contact for enquiries about the RIS and PACS systems (both internally and externally), using expert knowledge of the systems. To test new RIS and PACS releases before upgrades to the live systems and to work with IT system managers to test interfaces into RIS and PACS after system updates.

    This post is ideally suited to someone with an IT background or an interest in IT services. It is not essential for the successful candidate to have knowledge of RIS/PACS as on the job training will be provided, but PACS experience would be seen as a definite advantage.,
  • A level education or equivalent
  • IT Qualification ECDL or equivalent, Experience in administration
  • Experience of Radiology
  • Demonstrable experience of PACS/RIS
  • Experience of training skills and methods, Knowledge of NHS computer system. Interest in developing skills & knowledge. Previous NHS experience, Computer skills; Power point, Excel
  • 9 Ability to plan and organise own workload
  • Good telephone manner
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills
  • Able to work to deadlines
  • Used to working in an office/multi-disciplinary environment, Flexible and adaptable, Other useful qualifications/experience, i.e.: first aid and CPR, manual handling, etc

    Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.
  • The merger provides an opportunity to reconfigure services in a way that provides the best healthcare services to the city and improves the quality of care and health outcomes that patients experience. The Trust runs Aintree University Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool University Dental Hospital and the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. It serves a core population of around 630,000 people across Merseyside as well as providing a range of highly specialist services to a catchment area of more than two million people in the North West region and beyond., The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
