An exciting opportunity is waiting a highly motivated Paediatric OT to become one of our clinical specialists within our Cwm Taf Morgannwg Paediatric OT service. The role will include influencing the model of service delivery along with the education and support of other team members in the field of Paediatric OT. Cwm Taf Morgannwg are committed to supporting their staff in developing the necessary skills to deliver a highly specialist serviceMain duties of the job To act as an autonomous clinical specialist practitioner providing expert assessment in the field of Paediatric Occupational Therapy To be responsible for the evaluation, design and the effective treatment and management of Service users requiring assessment, care planning and rehabilitation in Children Centre and community settings in order to facilitate appropriate pathway management and maximise their independence and functional ability. To use highly specialised, advanced clinical reasoning skills to contribute to differential diagnosis. To work closely as part of the Paediatric Occupational Therapy Team and wider multidisciplinary team with all hospital based and community colleagues in order to maintain continuity of service. To independently manage own daily complex caseload as part of a multidisciplinary team, triaging paediatric patients, ensuring that patients are seen by the most appropriate healthcare professional. To take a lead role in the post-graduate education of Occupational Therapy colleagues and other professions. Impart knowledge and skills, guiding further knowledge acquisition and acting as a mentor.
