Full Job Description
We are seeking motivated and dynamic Band 7 Paediatric Continence Nurse to join the Specialist Children's Community Nursing Team in providing excellent quality nursing care for children with Bowel and Bladder issues in the borough of Waltham Forest., The successful candidate will work alongside the existing Paediatric Continence Nurse to begin to take over the service when they leave in March 2025. The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner and will lead in the delivery of clinics for children with bladder and bowel issues. They will utilize a range of specialist skills and experience gained in clinical practice to provide holistic assessments for children with bladder and bowel issues. Clinical judgement will aid the postholder to formulate a detailed care plan based on these assessments. They will lead in the development of the Paediatric Continence Service working closely with stakeholders to promote and develop the Service. Excellent communication skills are essential as well as good knowledge of current Nursing best practice and the ability to work as an effective team member across the Specialist Childrens Nursing Teams as well as the wider Multidisciplinary Team and external agencies. This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,313 to a maximum of £5,436 p.a. pro rata for part time)., £46,148 to £52,809 a year Per Annum, Pro Rata (Plus HCAS)
