Paediatric Junior Sister

To provide clinical leadership to a designated nursing team ensuring the delivery of the highest standard of individualised family-centred care to children and their families in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team. Essential

• RSCN / RN Child with current registration.
• Preparation for mentorship course or equivalent.
• Evidence of continued professional development.
Desirable
• Educated to degree level or working towards it.

Experience Essential
• Considerable experience at band 5 within an acute paediatric setting.
• Experience of managing the unit on a shift to shift basis
Desirable Experience of caring for patients requiring surgery and or orthopaedic procedures. Knowledge Essential Knowledge and experience in Safeguarding Children. Desirable Knowledge of current and emerging NHS strategy and policy. Skills Essential

  Rainbow Centre for Children and Young People based at Newham University Hospital is one of three children's acute sites within Barts Health NHS Trust.

Rainbow Centre consists of 18 acute beds caring for children aged between 0-16 years with acute nursing and medical needs. We have an Outpatient department and a Day care unit.
