Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, and motivated individual to join our expanding team, working with children and young people with neurodivergence. The work of this paediatric autonomous practitioner will involve the assessment, intervention and treatment of children and young people, who have been referred into the neurodevelopmental (ADHD/ASD) pathway.

The practitioner will be a non-medical independent prescriber as this is seen as being essential to this role. The role will enable a skilled practitioner to provide expert clinical care whilst using their extensive theoretical knowledge base and practical experience to underpin the role.

Experience of working with children and young people and families is desirable.

You will work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team whilst acting as a role model for the delivery of expert care.

The role will also include the delivery of specialist educational programmes to a range of healthcare professionals in relation to the specific need, including medical, nursing and Allied Health Professional staff., As Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will deliver evidence based interventions and systemic support for children and young people with complex neurodivergent needs and mental health needs.

The post holder will provide expert specialist nursing practice to children and young people under 18 years and will participate in the regular review of clinical policies and guidelines within this field and implement required changes to practice. The post holder will ensure the delivery of effective evidence based clinical practice and will undertake a lead professional role for a complex case load of young people.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
