  • Access a wide variety of internal and external training opportunities.


  • You will work from various venues e.g. clinics, schools (including special schools), nurseries and the child's home within SE Surrey.

    This is a challenging and varied role. Day to day you will be conducting assessments, writing reports (Initial, Review and EHCP assessments) and running therapy sessions (groups or individual).

    This post will offer the successful candidates the opportunity to work alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team of experienced therapists and assistants in providing a high quality occupation based provision to children aged 0-19 years, who have a variety of conditions, including Cerebral Palsy, Autistic Spectrum Disorders and learning difficulties, You will be part of the Paediatric Therapy team and will autonomously manage a caseload of children with a range of varied and complex needs.

    As part of your role you will be involved in:
  • Conducting Occupational Therapy and Multi-disciplinary assessments

  • Delivering training to parents, other professionals, schools or Nurseries

  • Devise child centered therapy plans using evidence based practice to ensure that the individuals full potential is developed or maintained

  • Supporting the OT Advice Line

  • Working with specialist caseloads (aged 0-19) such as children with complex neuro-disability and neurodevelopmental difficulties impacting on day to day functional occupations.

  • Supporting and line-managing less experienced members of the team


  • As a service we actively promote Surrey families and education settings to access our universal 'Support for all' Occupational Therapy offer as we recognise the value of Occupational Therapy being part of children and young peoples every day life to enable them to participate in self care, leisure and learning. The Occupational Therapy team is key in ensuring this happens.

    This role is currently joint commissioned which means that you will be involved in identifying the health and educational Occupational Therapy needs of children from 0 - 19 years old.
