Paediatric Occupational Therapist

• Supporting children with higher levels or needs or complex backgrounds through either Health or SEN pathways
• Meeting with parents to address needs pre-referral
• Conducting standardized and non-standardized assessments for children and young persons, from early years to post 16
• Assessment, recommendation and provision of equipment for moderate to complex seating systems
• Working in partnership with mainstream school settings to provide staff consultation and training
• Individual therapy sessions at home and clinic to support self-care, routine and independent living skills
• Direct therapy interventions in the education environment to support engagement in school based occupations
• Being an active participate in the Occupational Therapy Helpline for Surrey by providing ad hoc telephone advice for professional and families requiring OT support
There will also be opportunities to develop your supervision and innovation skills by taking on small development projects, training opportunities and working with students.

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Band 6 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic and supportive team. Experience of working with children, young people and families with or without disabilities is desirable but not essential. We will consider full time, part time and term time only hours. This role is suited for an experienced band 6 occupational therapist or a band 5 looking for a new challenge and development opportunity., Applicants who meet the advert criteria and require skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applicants. Due to the nature of the role, a valid UK full driving licence and car is essential.
