Full Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has become available to work within the administration team for the Pain Services at the Royal United Hospitals Bath, where you will be providing support for both national and local Pain services. The role will involve working with both adolescent and adult patients., + To provide administrative support to the Pain Specialty. This will include: responding to telephone and email enquiries, processing referrals, booking outpatient appointments, booking residential programmes for inpatients, booking clinic rooms, liaising with clinicians to ensure waiting times are met and patient experience is of a gold standard
+ Registering all patients on the Millennium system in a timely manner
+ Maintaining accurate records to track patient pathways, within the 18 week breach period
+ Ordering items via UNIT 4 purchasing system. These will include: stationery, equipment, courses, travel, accommodation, invoicing (for Private patients) and any other request
+ To maintain records of the Pain Specialty activity data
+ Attending and participating in meetings, across the Specialty. Taking minutes where directed by Line Manager
+ To provide administration cover across the Specialty/ Directorate as directed.

The role requires a candidate who has excellent communication, organisation and time management skills. Previous administration or customer experience is desired but is not essential. The role will involve working in a dynamic and fast paced environment, where every day will be different and so you will need to be flexible, adaptable and be able to work using initiative.
