Full Job Description
As a Paint Sprayer, Greengate Business Unit you will be responsible for the efficient & Safe execution of preparation, painting and maintenance tasks as assigned. You will be keen to take on challenges, develop your leadership and or skills potential as well as expand your knowledge and experience through a variety of exciting initiatives.,
- Surface Preparation: Perform essential surface preparation activities, including meticulous masking and sanding of products to ensure a flawless finish.
- Precision Painting: Conduct spray painting functions, expertly applying preparatory undercoating, preservatives, and top coats for high-quality results.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain paint shop equipment such as air lines, fluid lines, paint pots, paint guns, and respirators, ensuring peak performance.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all coatings meet stringent NOV or customer requirements, maintaining our reputation for excellence.
- Hazardous Waste Management: Properly contain and dispose of hazardous waste generated from paint shop operations, prioritizing safety and environmental standards.
- Booth Maintenance: Maintain paint booth media filters and surface protectant coatings as needed, supporting a clean and efficient workspace.
- Component Painting: Spray paint small component parts under general supervision prior to assembly and final coating, contributing to the overall production process.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in quality improvement meetings and initiatives, driving innovation and excellence.
- Workplace Organization: Keep equipment and work areas clean and orderly, performing basic preventative maintenance functions to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Policy Compliance: Adhere to all NOV Company, Quality, and HSE policies and procedures, and be prepared to carry out additional tasks as needed.
Hands-On Training: Practical training in a paint spraying function, ensuring you're ready to hit the ground running. - Industry Experience: Proven experience working in an engineering environment as a trained paint sprayer.
- Specialized Skills: Expertise in industrial paint spraying with a strong understanding of spray painting processes.
- Safety Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of PPE/HSE requirements for operating spray painting equipment, ensuring a safety-conscious approach to all tasks.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using a 2-pack spray paint system for high-quality finishes. Desirable:
- Advanced Qualifications: Level 3 (NVQ) in Industrial Paint Occupations, showcasing your advanced skill set.
- Engineering Background: Additional experience within an engineering environment to enhance your versatility.
- Additional Skills: Experience with overhead cranes is beneficial, though not mandatory as we provide full training.
Working Hours: - Rotating shifts: 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm.
