Full Job Description

Application of appropriate masking techniques in accordance with drawing requirements. The application of primer / top coat paint systems in accordance with drawing / process document (PRO) requirements.

Core Responsibilities:

§ Mixing of paints and dry film lubricants to appropriate supplier / PRO specifications.

§ Work to established paint specifications (PRO's) and ensuring the correct paint thickness is achieved.

§ Masking and de-masking of components in according with drawing / PRO / layout requirements.

§ The creation and cutting of masks using the film cutter.

§ Carry out painting / dry film lubricant operations utilising the most appropriate equipment which could include spraying or brush painting etc.

§ Work to established paint curing systems as appropriate which could include air curing or the use of curing ovens.

§ Use of the most appropriate type of paint application fixturing, which could include rotating bars/trolleys or suspension from hooks etc.

§ Use of correct PPE to include air fed masks.

§ A good standard of general education is required.

§ An engineering apprenticeship is desirable, although training will be given.

§ 1 years similar experience in an engineering manufacturing facility making a similar product.

§ Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings.

§ The ability to use basic inspection equipment is essential.

§ Good computer skills are desirable, as is a knowledge of the computer systems used (SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook etc).
