Full Job Description

As a paralegal in our Legal & Compliance team, you will support the entire organisation, with an international reach, and provide commercially focussed advice on a range of issues, including contracts, NDAs, licensing, as well as assist with contract management. You will report to the Senior Legal Counsel in the UK and work with the team which is based in the UK and US. For the right candidate, support for qualification via the SQE route will be considered. What you'll do:

  • Legal knowledge and support: you will provide overall support to the legal counsels in the UK and US (and you will be supported by them for your own work and learnings).

  • Commercial: you will draft and review commercial contracts, marketing and social media contracts, consulting agreements and NDAs, as well as other various commercial agreements.

  • IP matters: you will assist with licensing agreements and IP clauses in agreements.

  • Operational support: you will support the management and administration of contracts, including for electronic signature.

  • Workload management: you will manage and seamlessly adjust your workload based on current demands and priorities.

    A graduate, preferably a law graduate with strong academic results, although equivalent experience will be considered, with:

  • Good legal knowledge of contractual law and dispute resolution practices (under the laws of England & Wales or of a US state like California or New York)

  • Attention to detail

  • Creative and pragmatic thinking and an ability to assess and balance the legal risk with business implications in their advice

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to provide user-friendly advice

  • A collaborative and curious approach

  • An ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to handle a range of internal stakeholders

  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude!
