Paralegal

The role is a great opportunity for an individual to establish their career working in-house, or for a junior lawyer to continue to develop their skills. There is the potential to obtain an in-house training contract / solicitor apprenticeship here at Benefex. You will work closely with the other members of the Legal team, including the General Counsel. The role will provide access to a dynamic and varied workload of commercial contracts, corporate, data protection and intellectual property matters under the direct supervision of the Senior Legal Counsel. Recent examples of paralegal work have been setting up a new legal entity and operation in the Philippines and researching how new EU legislation will impact our business.,

• Supporting our exciting new-sales and customer-success teams with everything legal to continue smashing Benefex's growth targets together.
• Leveraging your legal acumen to negotiate commercial contracts and NDAs to ensure Benefex crushes those targets in the right way.
• Playing the role of data protection guardian to ensure we look after personal data in our care.
• Bridging the gap between legal jargon and business needs to make sure we're all moving in the same direction.
• Contributing to the global legal evolution of Benefex - never stand still.
  
  Legal education, LLB or GDL (LPC / SQE desirable but not essential)
• Proactive and self-motivated with a 'can-do' attitude
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Curiosity and a desire to learn
• A get "stuck in" mindset. Take ownership of the company's, the team's, and your own success
• Prior legal experience (ideally in-house or private practice teams such as corporate, commercial, commercial property or insolvency) would be advantageous
• As would experience reviewing and improving templates, contract systems, practices and processes
