Join our dynamic LCR team, led by General Counsel. We are a forward-looking and innovative legal team, which prioritises colleague development.

We provide expert advice and support to businesses and functions across the Group in relation to disputes and contentious regulatory matters.

Our overall purpose is to partner with empathy, courage and creativity to Help Britain Recover and Prosper.

We always looking for opportunities to deliver new ways of working across L&S to ensure that we are Future Ready. We are presently seeking to bring best practice in legal practice management to our in-house teams.

  • This paralegal role primarily will support the newly-formed Legal Practice Management function, which will be responsible for : ideation and implementation of LCR & L&S strategic and transformation initiatives;

  • ongoing review and streamlining of operational processes to enhance overall productivity and effectiveness; optimising data & management information / reporting;


  • implementing and managing an effective centralised resourcing system; relationship management across LCR, L&S and with our key stakeholders and external partners, and other tasks to support the general management of the function.

    Where capacity allows, there will also be opportunities to support legal matters.

    A typical day

    Things move quickly in LCR but in any given day you may be called upon to :
  • Provide support to develop and embed the Legal Practice Management function, responsible for all operational and financial aspects of legal practice management.

  • Support centralised resourcing of the LCR legal practice, including demand planning and capacity management.

  • Carry out different aspects of paralegal work including document preparation, research and case / matter management.

  • Contribute to the delivery of ongoing transformation initiatives to streamline processes and systems for LCR and delivery of wider LCR and L&S strategic initiatives, in particular workflow allocation, reporting, automation and technology.

  • Work collaboratively with the wider LCR team and business stakeholders.

    Good knowledge of the law or working in a legal environment (which could include paralegal experience, a law degree, or completion of a paralegal qualification or a qualification like the LPC or equivalent).

  • An agile mindset, comfortable acting in a fast-paced environment and prioritising when faced with competing demands. Our days are varied and LCR moves at pace.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective links within and across teams and work collaboratively with colleagues.

  • Proactive in ensuring that the Legal Practice Management team has the support that it needs and the practice runs efficiently, including suggesting how we can improve.

  • Happy to use your own judgement and initiative to take actions and make decisions.

  • Strong communication, planning and organisation skills and attention to detail.

  • Expertise in relation to use of legal technology and automation would also be desirable.
