Full Job Description

Framlingham Medical Practice is looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic paramedic to our "On the Day" team. The successful candidate willwork as an autonomous, first contact practitioner providing clinical care (including triage, diagnosis, treatment, referral, review or discharge) as appropriate, utilising a range of advanced skills and knowledge for patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions.,

  • Work within skills and knowledge to recognise the limitations of practice and work within boundaries of training and capability according to the HCP Council code of practice;
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) within Framlingham Medical Practice;
  • Assess and triage patients, including same day triage, and as appropriate provide definitive treatment (including prescribing medications following policy, patient group directives, NICE (national) and local clinical guidelines and local care pathways) or make necessary referrals to other members of the primary care team;
  • Advise patients on general healthcare and promote self-management where appropriate, including signposting patients to the organisations social prescribing service and, where appropriate, other community or voluntary service.

    Framlingham Medical Practice is a well established dispensing general practice with just under 10,000 patients. We are a forward thinking practice continually exploring new areas to develop and benefit our patients.
  • The practice clinical team consists of 4 GP partners, a salaried GP, a clinical pharmacist, 2 paramedics, an advanced nurse practitioner, 3 practice nurses, a nurse associate, 2 healthcare assistants and a Phlebotomist. Our clinical team is supported by experienced dispensary, administration and reception teams. Research:Framlingham Medical Practice during the beginning of 2024 was approved as a research practice. The first research projects are now underway.
