Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic to join our Primary Care team at HMP Featherstone a category C Prison located in Wolverhampton. HMP Featherstone is a male prison with a population of 678 males, this is a training prison with a layout of 7 wings. Hours This role is 37.5 hours per week Monday - Sunday, shift patter covers are:

  • Weekdays - 7am - 6.30pm
  • Weekends - 8.30am - 5.30pm (2 weekends in 4)

  • Qualified Paramedic
  • Current professional registration (HCPC)
  • Proven post-registration ambulance experience
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
  • Proven experience in either: Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments or Minor injuries / illness
  • Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.     This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary is between £ 33,232 - £40,211 per annum - depending on experience.

  • Provide outstanding evidence based case to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them - focussing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
  • Playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's care following our policies, procedures and always considering safeguarding.
