  • About the role The role of a Paraplanner is a home-based position, with quarterly meetings held at NFU Mutual head office in Stratford upon Avon. This desk-based role is essential in supporting Financial Advisors by preparing detailed financial reports for customers, which range from Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs) to complex inheritance planning cases. As a Paraplanner you are responsible for writing comprehensive reports following meetings that have been held with customers and the Financial Advisors, ensuring that all advice and recommendations are clear and straightforward. You'll critically assess the recommendations made by Financial Advisors, ensuring alignment with current guidance and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) rules, and are expected to question and challenge advisors to maintain high standards of advice. Additionally, you'll manage the advisor centre mailbox, handling queries from Financial Advisors, and provide coaching to new advisors, helping them understand processes and best practices. You'll also analyse and support possible pension transfers to NFUM and cascade any changes in regulations, processes, or company policies to Financial Advisors. Regulatory Information Certification This role is subject to certification Certification applies to key roles within the organisation that meet set criteria defined by our regulators. Certification is an internal process undertaken in line with regulatory requirements that is to be in place on appointment and annually thereafter. Certified Function This role is subject to certification for NFU Mutual Select Investments Ltd due to being identified as: Client Dealing, previously CF30 A person who performs the client-dealing certification function which involves any of the following activities: advising on investments and performing other functions related to this such as dealing and arranging. Function Requiring Qualification A person carrying out a role that requires a regulatory qualification as defined within the FCA Training & Competence (T&C) Sourcebook.

    You must hold a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning and have experience dealing with complex financial information within a regulated environment. A high level of attention to detail, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to multitask are essential. The role requires someone who is highly organised, analytical and be capable of making decisions. You'll be able to write clear, concise reports that are easy for customers to understand. Full training on our processes will be given. As well as the above you will:
